Official Arizona resultsHow seats and majorities are counted
Arizona elects one senator and two representatives in each of 30 districts. This page counts the top positive-vote candidate in each Senate race and the top two in each House race as current leaders. A majority requires 16 Senate seats or 31 House seats. A tie crossing the final seat leaves those seats unresolved. Unidentified write-in totals are never treated as a named winner. These counts describe current returns, not forecasts.
Diagonal hatching marks seats that would change parties if current leads hold, compared with the 2025-2026 Legislature. For each district, we match the previous party allocation to current leaders; in a two-seat House district, only seats gained by another party are hatched. Returning members of the same party are matched first. Unresolved seats are never hatched. The baseline is a fixed November 4, 2026 snapshot of the official legislative roster, excluding resigned members.
What the margins and percentages mean
The seat cutoff compares first versus second place in the Senate and second versus third in the House. The party-control gap compares a leading candidate and the closest candidate of a different party outside the available seats. These may be different pairs. Gaps are current vote differences, not estimates of ballots needed. Percentages divide by all recorded selections, including write-in totals. In multi-seat contests, these are shares of selections, not shares of voters.
Checks every 60 seconds and data coverage
While this page is open, it checks for updated returns every 60 seconds. New returns appear automatically without reloading. The source timestamp shows when the publisher generated its results; the check time shows when this site last looked for an update. A failed check keeps the last valid returns and displays a notice. A saved copy shows a snapshot. No ballots-remaining or percentage-complete estimate is inferred. Coverage includes the statewide export's legislative, congressional, statewide, proposition and judicial contests; county-only contests are not included.
